Laser Hair Removal Methods
Laser Hair Removal Methods
There are different laser hair removal methods. But two most widely used laser hair removal methods are: IPL hair removal and ND YAG laser hair removal. We will discuss how these laser hair removal treatment works:
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Hair Removal: Intense Pulse Light is a hair removal method in which hair reduction is performed with a pulsed light system. Technically it is not a laser hair removal method as it uses Xenon flash lamps. A pulsed light system is performed with intense light pulses (not by laser rays) to selectively heat the hair shaft and hence destroys the hair root. The surrounding tissue is heated only in a negligible way and not damaged. IPL works best on fine/thin hair and it gives a maximum result in minimum number of sessions as compared to other lasers available in the world for hair removal.
Neo Dynamium: Yttrium Aluminium Garnet Laser: It is commonly known as Nd YAG laser is another laser hair removal method. It reaches deeper layers of skin tissue. This can be used to treat large areas of the body quickly. Nd-YAG laser hair removal method gives very effective results for people with thick/coarse hair.
On the basis of scientific principles, it is clear that there is not only one laser hair removal method that can be used to treat everyone. For a laser hair removal treatment a very experienced physician who has extensive laser training should be sought after to perform laser hair reduction.
